Alright, so it has been quite a while since our last podcast. I am sure everyone has been on the edge of their seat wondering when the next one would be here. So, have at it...and enjoy the new pictures.
Don't feel bad about not knowing any Padres, I bet not many people even know they are in 1st place. You don't know any because they are never shown or talked about. The Pads highlight are literally skipped on sportscenter all the time. Imagine if the Yanks were picked to have the worst record in the league but happened to have the best record in the AL on 7/7. It would be the biggest story evey night, a storied season, there would probably be a movie made about it.
So i haven't listened to the pod yet but I think I already have an idea of what was said and how it was said... To "The Fathers" fan above , I might be seeing things but i'm pretty sure you just compared or correlated the Yankees & Padres somehow..? That should never be done. I'm really sorry that Padres highlights are stuck between WNBA and LPGA Highlights , so no one sees them but be clear that the reason why the fathers haven't been on T.V much and no one knows 5 or more of these players is because they haven't been succesful long enough or consistent in their history or even in recent history. Theres a reason why we(Yankees) are on TV often and why there are sell outs at opposing ball parks when we come to your town, that's the correlation to be made. The Fathers and their fans should not worry about being on SportsCenter ..they should 1st. win the division 2nd. Get to the WS and 3rd. Try not to get swept by the Yankees. and then.. maybe a movie might be in the works.
To the Creators/Editors/Contributors and friends I know very well of this Podcast and blogsite.. I see right thru your games by trying to Jinxx the Yankees by putting Yankee Stadium picture up on here. Thats laughable and is like trying to stop GodZilla by using a dart-gun. Good Luck
What would the soundtrack be for the Yankees movie? "Empire State of Mind" on loop?
Someone's a little sensitive today...take a breather Jahmiel. You need a little Swisher in your life. He just made the all-start team for being a good joke-teller.
Sensitive? Nah , just speaking the truth. It must be very depressing that the 7th best guy in our line up made the All Star game over the best player on the BoSox.. And since the Yankees are better at everything than the Red Sox,we will use a new and improved remix of "Sweet Caroline" for that movie..
It has a little to do with winning, but more to do with money and a blatent northeast bias. Look at the Marlins, they have won the World Series twice and they still get no love.
The lions share of Yankee fans are just a bunch of frontrunners. It is easy to be the fan of a team when all they do is win (not because the organization is better at any discernable skill, but b/c they just play on a unlevel financial playing field) and the nation sports media spends 30-40% of their air time talking about them. I wonder how many Yanks fans there would be if their highlights were "stuck between WNBA and LPGA"........
Just a bunch of frontrunners.......I bet most Yanks fans will leave the Knicks to convert to Heat fans this winter....
